2006 Toyota 4runner - Have codes - Where to start with repairs? Sign In

I have a 2006 toyota 4runner 4WD 4.7 liter V8 automatic with 160k miles.

I plugged in a borrowed OBDll scanner and gave me 5 codes:

P0340 camshaft position sensor A bank 1 ckt malfunction
P0345 camshaft position bank 2
P0441 evaporative emission incorrect purge flow
P0455 evaporative emission system leak detected large leak
P0456 evaporative emission system leak detected small leak

I don't notice anything considerably wrong with the SUV. I need it to pass smog and these codes repaired. Where do I start?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How good are you at diagnosing electrical circuits and drive-ability issues? Do you have any service information? What kind of experience do you have repairing vehicles?

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Speech to text.
Thanks for your response. On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being a pro mechanic, I am about a 1 to 2. My father is about 6 to 7. I haven't serviced the car for about a year and a half. I do regular oil checks. If I need to bring it in can you please tell me who to bring it to and what to say. So I can avoid unnecessary charges. Once again any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
