My wife's car won't start and I can not figure out why so I'm posting here so maybe someone can help me. It all started when her A.C. stopped working. I went to the store and bought a can of 134a but the compressor wasn't working so I couldn't get the gas in it. My Father and law told me it was the low pressure switch and just cross it out with a paper clip to get it running just so I could get the gas in. Well I couldn't find the switch after looking so I just gave up. My wife then drove the car to her fathers. While it was there he tried by passing some relays and crossing somethings out ( I wasn't there) and now it won't start. She didn't notice anything went wrong at first cause she left the car running the whole time she was there and he couldn't get the compressor running so she just left. She came home and shut the car off and now it won't start. When I turn the key on, the motor won't even crank. The lights and all that come on but nothing. I changed the battery, checked all the fuses. I can start the car by shorting out the solenoid while the key is in the ignition and it runs like a champ no problems. So I know he messed up something while monkeying around with it. Like I said I checked all the fuses in the cabin and under the hood, (there where 2 fuse/relay boxes that I could find) I also checked what looked like an fuse link or inline fuse on the positive battery cable and it was fine. Any Ideas?

Sounds like it's time for your Father in Law to spring for a shop to repair the damage he did and they keep him away from your car because he has no clue what he's doing.

Aye, I'm not to mad at him he was just trying to help, he said he'd pay to have it fixed cause he messed it up, and I told him I'm try asking around for some help first cause I'm sure it's something simple like a fuse I'm not seeing or something.

Nobody here is going to know what he did to the car. Definitely start out by checking all the fuses but he could have fried any number of different computers/modules. You can't just go prodding around and jumping power when you don't know what you're doing. You can fry a computer in a split second if you stick that wire in the wrong place.

Did you check all the fuses to be sure that none are blown or missing from their slots? There are two locations for fuses. The junction block under the dash and the fusible link box under the hood.
Don't ever attempt to jumper a pressure sensor on these newer cars. You jump reference voltage from a PCM to ground and you'll fry the PCM or what ever ECU is supplying the reference.
If you get the vehicle running, don't try to put refrigerant in it. You should take it to a shop and have them check out why the AC isn't working. Those system are very sensitive to the the amount of refrigerant in the system. The old days of topping off grandpa's 1976 Ford LTD with a York compressor is gone.

Yeah I checked 3 different fuse boxes, one under the steering wheel and two under the hood, one by the battery and one by the windshield washer reservoir.
