Wonder if anyone knows if this engine is problematic. bought a Chrysler Sebring but found out about all the engine problems it has no took the car back. thinking of getting a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. If any has experience with or knowledge of these vehicles your input would be appreciated.

Don't buy a Hyundai or a kia. Take advantage of the countless year end deals that are going on this time of year. Dealers are hungry to sell cars, and move old inventory. If you want to save money, and still want to get an excellent reliable car, buy a preowned "Certified Honda or Toyota".

Wow I didn't mean for you to turn your car in but I guess if the option was available and you didn't "trust" it, that might be for the best.. There really isn't too many cars I would advise against other than a Intrepid or anything with a Chrysler 2.7. Hyundia are good quality car. 25 years ago they were a joke but now, quality wise are right up there with Honda & Toyota. The Domestics have some decent cars as well, everyone is really close now. I would have to say Hyundia probably has the best warranty in the market with their 10 year 100k mile powertrain warranty, of course this is for original owners only and doesn't transfer to a 2nd party. If you could afford new that would be the best option. If you do go new keep in mind that you would have to provide maintenance records if you ever had a warranty issue. I.e oil change receipts for an engine problems and trans fluid changes for any tranny issues. No records, no warranty

What is the "204" in your title? If this is the mileage? If it is, that would be high mileage for any make vehicle and I would probably advise against that. I agree with Sidom though. There is no problem with Hyundai or kia as brands. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
