yeh,after a happy breakfast I noticed a blub of brown inside the oil cap and on my dip stick of my 2005 chevy trailblazer,blew my mind.Coolant is clear in reservoir,,Running great, temp a lil high,,. temp had never been above 200 degrees.It has 120,000 mile on it, straight 6 cyclinders,4 wheel dr. Busted head gasket?

Head gasket would be highly suspect with that but test as much as possible before declaring it the issue. Temp running higher could be something else and oil may be excessive condensation if your climate is just right with temps and humidity but not usually on the dipstick also especially if on the bottom where you read the level,

Don't jump to conclusions. A few spots on a cap or dipstick would only be condensation. If you truly have coolant in the oil, the oil will turn to a milky sludge that you can't see through when spread on your finger.

I agree with HT. Moisture in the crankcase turns to steam as the engine block gets hot and rises to the top of the engine. Just so happens the oil cap and dipstick tube is usually the highest points in the crankcase. If you haven't changed your oil in a long time, probably wouldn't be a bad idea to. The moisture that gathers in the crankcase can become acidic. If you do short drives, you should change your oil more often.
