First off, hello forum. Car starts fine, but after about one minute RPM falls from 1000 to about 500 at which point the engine begins to shake roughly. After about 3-4 minutes of letting the car run the RPM settles at about 700 and the engine is smooth. I bought this car from an auction for my mom so don't get a lot of time with it. The engine light is usually constantly on. However, today I drove it about 1/2 mile to test it then parked and possibly thought I smelled gas after turning off the car. While I was driving I noticed the engine light steadily blinking. Blinking was slow and constant. I began counting but stopped after 40 b/c it seemed like it was giving me a code. I have gotten some ODB II scan codes. I've gotten all 4 oxygen sensors codes and random misfire codes. I've only been able to afford to replace 2 of 4 oxygen sensors. The salesman at the part store talked me out of buying the coils. But after changing the sensors and plugs with no remedy of the rough idling I've replaced 3 of 6 coils. I do plan on buying the remaining coils and sensors its just that I'm running out of money. I've taken the car to Chrysler for a diagnostic check and they said they pulled a code for the Catalytic Converter. I've never encountered this code when checking the ODB II codes at the part stores at least 6 - 7 before then and 3-4 times after. I've also taken to a catalytic converter shop to have them replaced but they said the cats were fine. I did have Chrysler perform the J18 recall (link) where they reprogrammed the (PCM). She usually uses PLUS (89) gas but I've recently changed to Premium (93) w/ gas treatment to see if that changes things.

Recent Engine Work:
New radiator
New plugs
Oil change w/ Engine Restore
Premium Gas w/ Lucas Gas Cleaner
2 Oxygen Upstream Sensors

Is there anything else I can try in the meantime until I get enough money to replace the remainder sensors and coils?

I'm a little confused on some points in your post.... You took you car to a Chrysler Dealer.. To the service dept... The area that services cars....a tech (not a SA) looked at it... and they just told you there was just a cat code????

Ok, lets start from scatch....1st the check engine light (SES) will come on when there is a problem in one of the systems or another system is being affected by the original problem. If the problem is bad enough to cause converter damage the SES light will flash. Just because you have multiple codes, doesn't mean you have multiple failures.....

What you could do with your code reader is try to narrow down which cylinders are misfiring. If you get more than one cyl misfiring and they aren't constant the PCM wusses out & throws out a P0300 random. If you can narrow it down and to a problem you're sure of, bad plug, shorted coil, bad injector, then go ahead and fix it.....If you are guessing I would strongly suggest taking to a shop that can find the problem without throwing parts at it.
That gets expensive, quick........

For a competent shop to check it out you'll be in the $100 to $200 range....That is probably 1 or 2 wrong guesses.......
