Heat output will go cold when the vehicle overheats strange as that sounds??!! The battery drain needs to be isolated to which circuit it is. Pull fuses on items that are always empowered with or without the keys and you at least know which one to chase down. That can be checked by disconnecting battery and with a test light between neg post and battery should stay off with everything off. If not -- pull fuses one by one and when it shuts of -- that's the problem area.
