Engine started to run uneven revs up and down sometimes under breaking it would cut out. Thaught it may be a leek in air pipe, checked but no leeks in pipes. Could this be a cracked servo. After a while got annoyed with up down revs messed around with grommet on the servo put a little hole in it now the engine runs ok. I know this is not ideal but thaught it may help with diagnosis. Also oil level light keeps flashing red after i do about 20 miles. Would a simple oil change cure this problem?

I'm not real sure what you did or your exact problem.
Normally I would have you start off with some basics and depending on the results, try some other things BUT if your oil light is coming on...... I strongly suggest you take it in to have it checked out.
If you have a pressure problem, you could ruin your whole engine very quickly......For that reason I'm not going to prolong running this engine with basic tests....
