I just purchased a used 2002 Ford Focus SE 4 door sedan 2.0 4 cyl. with 71k miles from a local dealership three days ago. When I drove it today for the first time since coming home, I noticed steam coming from the right hood and the temperature gauge went close to the red. After it had cooled down, I popped the hood and saw that there was no cap on the coolant reservoir and no coolant in the container. I called the dealer and they towed the car and will look at it on Monday.
My question: what questions should I ask the dealer on Monday to ensure they are examining potential issues related to this lack of coolant?
