If the wheel is turned all the way to one side she may not be using enough force to take the "tension" off the lock cylinder. Maybe go over there & check it out, which ever way they are turned to, turn it the other way until you "feel" the good spot.

OR the key may be worn out......If it's too worn to make another one, call OnstarĀ® and they can call in the key code to a locksmith off the VIN #

Thanks Sidom I went by turned the wheel it was locked and turned the ignition at the same time it worked.. She said it does it often. I told her to just make sure she keeps her wheels straight maybe that will help.. She is taking chemo so I am sure she is weak from that... And that just makes things worst for her..

Glad to hear you got it fix...... Sry to hear about your mom's health problems, hopefully she's doing good and it's not too rough.
My wife just got thru a bout with that and it takes it's toll......

We did find a good way not to have to sit in a packed ER waiting room..... Go in with a broken chemo pack leaking radiation & blood..... I don't think I had ever seen an ER staff "panic" before. We didn't even have to fill out any paper work or go thru triage, they just rushed her to a little room and no one got with in 10' of us.......Sly

I know what you are saying my mom is only 53 and when she does the treatment she has to wear the pump for 72 hrs after.. That dosent include the 15,000 shot she has to take after they take that off... Money money money.. Geezzzz the cancer she has I was told I was in the 85 percent range of getting it in my 50s but as long as I do sscreenings its preventable so you can believe I will do that every 3 to 5 yrs what ever insurance will cover dont get me started on that...

Sorry to get off car talk here.. She is saying its still doing it but hey I dont know what to do for her I cant be there everytime she wants to crank and go... I am hoping its nothing major getting ready to go wrong she dosent need that..

Thanks ChickenHouse.. I will do all I can chemo they say is a good thing but looking at her it dosent.. Yes it is awful I have lost 2 uncles to cancer in 2010 alone.. I think that makes it harder for my mom We try to keep her busy and her mind in a better place but as you know chemo just makes you so weak you dont want to do nothing but lay around.. Like I tell her never give up...

Re: 2002 chevy calvalier Sign In

If she is still having trouble with the key, make sure the old one isn't worn. Maybe get a new one cut and see if that helps....

Yea that pack was pretty bad. I don't know how she slept with it, I know I couldn't. I think it's a little tougher social wise on women just because of that "looks" thing. One tough area was right after she got her port put in...... I could tell with that & the hair thing she was pretty down. I took a gamble on a 7 of 9 joke that seemed to lift her spirits and gave her a chance to call me a nerd.....
