2002 SUNFIRE Sign In

I have a problem with my 2002 Sunfire. At first the windshiels wipers and the headlights would go out intermitenly. Now they just went out what causes tha

Just wondering what would cause both to be coonected and go out out at same time. Checked all fuses they are good

If they're both on the same switch assembly on the steering column that could make both systems act up. Do you have a headlight switch on the dash or is it mounted on the turn signal arm?

I'm doubting this is a switch issue. One is always on power and one is keyed. I would suspect a Body Control Module but this isn't something that you will be able to diagnose yourself.

It is on turn signal, how would i get it diagnosed

You will need a tech with extensive electrical experience and a professional scan tool with updated software.

Both the wiper motor and headlamps share the same ground which is actually a splice pack right underneath the battery tray. Probably wouldn't hurt to check that splice pack ground because maybe battery acid leaked all over it or it may have a bad connection due to corrosion.
