My wife told me today that her window will not go up. And after interogating (sp) her I found that it had happened before and she would slam the door then it would go up... This time it didn't work. But as I toor the door apart I noticed that as it happened if I would unplug and plug the motor back in it would work again. All of the viewable wiring seems to be tight and free of corrosion. I guess my question is is the window motor just crapping out or could it be something else. When it does not work the motor makes no sound. and that I noticed sounds a little labored before the stop happens. The symptoms could be the motor or the switch. When you slam the car door its like hitting that old car starter with a hammer.
