2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Fuel Leak on Rail Sign In

I have a leak at the small silver cap on the fuel injection rail. I've heard of several different names for this part but I'm pretty sure the correct name for it is a fuel damper. Is this part replaceable without buying the whole fuel rail, or are there other fixes for this?

I don't see it being sold separately. It appears to be part of the rail.

Unless the OP is referring to the fuel test port cap, which means the shrader valve is leaking.

That's pretty hard to mistake for a damper which it actually does have.

No it's definitely leaking from the damper, but I know what you mean. The leak is from the silver top hat looking cap and it looks like it is crimped on the fuel rail not the valve that looks like a tire gauge would fit into. It just sucks if I cant replace just the damper.

That's very minor compared to some of the parts that are only sold complete. A fuel rail isn't a big deal.
