2002 Ford Taurus Rear Brake problem Sign In

2002 Ford Taurus/3.5L/94,000 Miles

I was changing my brakes and the front went fine but upon breaking down the rear drum, I noticed that there was a ton of liquid inside of the brake area. It looked to be either oil or brake fluid but when depressing the brake nothing leaked out. I want to figure out why this is before putting it back together and having the same problem over again. Thanks, Rob.

More than likely it is brake fluid coming out of the wheel cylinder. These are common failure points on the Taurus brake system. They are not too expensive and not really hard to change.
