2002 Chevy Cavalier
2.2L I4
~150K Miles

My sister's car died on the way to work today and will not start up can stay on anymore. At first it would start, and then die after a few seconds, now it won't start at all, even when tapping the gas.
I replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs and air filter about 2 weeks ago after the car had some sputtering problems. The sputtering went away for the most part and had no other problems until today. I checked the fuel filter and it's not leaking and the connections are fine. Please help!!

vektorshift, like they say, you need air fuel and spark to get it running. In this case I would advise checking fuel pressure.

The typical crank-no start procedure is as follows. Install fuel pressure guage on fuel rail, install spark tester, install noid light in injector harness. Crank engine, record fuel pressure, verify spark, verify injector pulse. Failure to do all of these will result in:

1) Misdiagnosis
2) Replacement of unnecessary parts
3) Cost more money due to replacement of unnecessary parts
4) SEND FAMINE AND PESTILENCE ACROSS THE LAND

Thank you, I'll try this out today and post my results here.
