2001 vauxhall/opel corsa Leaking Problem Sign In

Hi all,

I have a leaking problem in my car, there must be a little hole behind the glove box somewhere because every time i get off my drive, water actually falls into my car! I know its behind the glove box as the things inside are nice and dry, but i cant see the hole from the inside or outside of the car. With all the snow and rain im getting my windows are soaked on this inside and with it being freezing i have to de-ice the windows on both sides if i need to drive anywhere in the morning.

I am going to get it fixed but it will have to wait until mid february as i have loads of birthdays in the new year so i dont have a good amount of cash to hand for a while, but i was thinking about buying a small de-humidifier just to suck up all the water on the inside and keep it frost free for a while...

Im not sure if this is safe or not though, or if there is a different type i should buy and not the standard type for small rooms. I was looking at this on Amazon, would it be ok for what i need? link removed...not allowed
Any help would be great,
Thanks!

If plain water and only in rain/wet conditions while driving that rules out the heater core. Windshields can be the source of water leaks especially if a replacement.

Take a look from underhood for low areas where wheels may spit up water - not usually at a firewall!

You can try "Painter's Tape" to seal windshield as a test as it will remove without a mess later.

A fan may work better than a dehumidifier if cool/cold. Best to get car into warmer garage if available with fans IMO. If that wet it will get under carpet or whatever flooring used in this car so should be lifted to dry out under it too.

Happy hunting for the leak,

T
