I have a 2001 saturn L200 with a 2.2 ecotech engine, it started out just dieing like it was running out of gas, backfiring a lot. would restart but sometimes i would run the battery down before i could get it going. i changed the fuel pump. still dies, it will run great for five minutes or so, then its like its running out of gas, i checked the trouble codes, it said crankshaft sensor o2 sensor. so i changed the crankshaft sensor, still dies, now it throws the crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor and o2 codes. Car will run fine for five to ten min so i know its still in time, when it dies it backfires alot an quits.

What kind of equipment do you have at to check this out with?

i have a fully equipped shop, i just put the motor in this car 6 months ago.

Ok..sounds good.....I guess you could start with posting some basic info....The exact code numbers you are getting, fuel pressure, compression reading ( cold & hot). Also go into miss history and see if you can narrow down the miss to a few specific cyls or if its a straight random.
Also grab a datastream from when its running good and when the problem is occurring and post that as well....Both at low & high rpms

I know some of those eco techs had problems with their valves that would only show up hot......Even on the new ones..
