2001 saab 95 died while driving, now wont start

I drive a 2001 saab 95 turbo. The other night while driving home from work, i tried using the sport mode to pass a slow car. when i accelerated in sport mode it felt like my engine was slipping. soon after that i lost my power steering and my engine died. it did this 3 times altogether on the way home. the next day i went out to try starting it and it would turn over and start but die after only a couple seconds. now it wont start at all. my radio and dash lights still work when i turn the key. any ideas would be much appreciated

Have your battery tested and your belts checked.
