2001
Volkswagen
Jetta Wolfsburg Edition
1.8T
109,000 miles

Problem: My accelerator pedal doesn't work at all, like it's completely disconnected. The car starts fine and holds idle great. I just replaced the ignition coils and spark plugs with dealer parts. I also have a brand new battery in the car.

Warning Lights: The car displays an EPC light (Electronic Power Control), a Check engine light, and the Traction Control Light is also on.

Should I be looking at the O2 sensor or the throttle body? I don't know much about cars and I need some advice from anyone who is kind enough to help.

Thanks in advance.

Have the engine controller scanned. Write down the trouble code numbers.

Yep, sounds like you have problems with the "drive by wire" throttle. The codes should confirm that and give you a direction.
