2001 Olds Alero sunroof is crooked

Last week the sunroof on my 2001 Alero stuck open and wouldn't budge. I dropped the headliner to check the motor (after I checked the fuse). In the meantime I wiped the track and applied a light coat of waterproof grease, then shot some WD40 where it was jammed. I finally got it worked loose, hit the switch. It closed almost completely then went crooked. The tracks don't look damaged, and I don't want to goof with it and burn the motor up. Is there a way to adjust the tracks or could it be something else ? Thanx!
