Hello, I recently purchased a 2001 2.8L Jetta with the check engine light on. After driving it for a little while the EPC light also kicked on. I am not experiencing any actual problems with the car but was wondering if anyone knew what they meant. When I had it checked to see why it was throwing the light I got code p1152. Any ideas? Thank you.

p1152 is long fuel trim out of range. Which could mean it's running rich or lean only way to be sure is to get a scanner and watch the long and short fuel trims to find out if its running rich or lean.. If its running lean could be vacuum leak, mass air/map and etc running rich could be plugged air filter, plugged air box, excess fuel, mass air/map, plugged converter and etc. hard to diagnose what it would be or where to look with that generic of a code.. I would start off simple check air filter, and make sure air way is not blocked, if equipped with mass air it may be able to be cleaned I would refer to manufacture first before attempting.. I know of fords you can remove and spray with break clean w/o doing damage VW might be different.
