2000 cougar, rear passenger break locks up.

My name is Eric. I have 2000 mercury cougar v6 with just under 125000 miles. Lately my rear right break has been locking up. Despite going into reverse to cause the breaks to reset, the break does not release. I am not sure what to do about it, I obviously can't drive it in this condition.

Eric the possibilities are almost endless as to what the cause is. The wheel will need to come off for an inspection; an inspection done by someone that knows what to look for. If you feel you’re that person; post back with your findings and we’ll try and help, with suggestions; where we can.
Pictures of things that look out of the “normal” would also help us help you.
