My car shows p0171 for engine too lean and p0420 for bad cat. I am about to replace the maf to see if that helps but i'm not sure if it will. The weird thing though is that it just recently started doing like an engine hiccup. When i'm in 5th gear just driving it will randomly feel as though i let off the gas suddenly and reapllied it. you can feel the gear kinda stop pushing the car and the car does like a little bump. the rpms also do a very small bounce. it does is mainly in 4th and 5th gear but not really when i'm accelerating. could this be caused by the cat being bad? or is it something else? When they plug up you would usually both get your code and even loss of power at first.
