2000 Odyssey EX, Grinding noise from front passenger side Sign In

I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey EX with over 100,000 miles on it. The van is in working condition, never had any problems before, and is drivable, however there is a TERRIBLE grinding noise that has just recently started coming from somewhere near the front wheel on the passenger side of the vehicle. The noise has been there for awhile, and about two months ago I took it in to a mechanic shop to have them look at it. They told me there weren't sure what was causing the noise but I could pay $700 for a part that MIGHT fix what was causing the noise. I declined. However, today upon driving it in town I noticed the sound was MUCH worse than normal. When I got home, I decided to look at the underside and that was when I noticed it looked damaged. (Please keep in mind that I know very little about cars) Upon looking at the underside where the noise seems to be coming from I noticed some ripped metal that seems to have been damaged from something, and also a hole where it looks like a screw or nut of some sort seems to have fallen out. I took pictures of both sides, hopefully someone can tell me what's wrong. I'm guessing something is wrong with the shocks because even when the engine is off, if anyone gets in or out of the passenger side, a grinding noise is made whenever someone steps onto or out of the seat on that side. I plan on taking it to the shop again, hopefully they can tell me what's wrong now, I was just wondering if it would be safe to drive for a day or two before taking it in.

That oil is leaking from something up above. It may be the power steering reservoir or a hose leaking and that would explain the grinding noise too.

Oh sorry. I forgot to mention before, the pictures were taken about 5 minutes after parking the van in my garage. The puddles are just water, not a leak.
