My low coolant light came on and I filled up the coolant but noticed on the passenger side that the floor mats are wet. What could be the possible problem?

That's classic for a heater core leak. I'd still look at there the heater hoses go in to firewall for anti-freeze - if they are dry you need a heater core.

Some are a real pill do replace. Can be dangerous too if you need to mess with anything about the passenger's air bag. You can by pass it with the two hoses (different sizes) with plumbing stuff till you either take this on yourself or need time to get it done. The two hoses are probably 5/8th and 3/4 inch i.d. for a by pass. I've done it with a deep socket and the spring type common replacement clamps.

Most don't cost that much but are labor intensive. Let us know if you plan to do this yourself if you need some help. It'll take a lot of 1/4 inch tools and possibly have to break speed nuts to the cables if used and they do sell those.

When the leaking is done you will have a job getting the anti-freeze out of the carpet and want to get a detail shop to clean up that side.

For now - Keep some 50/50 anti-freeze in your trunk if only to get you to desination. T

I am not going to fix it myself. I just wanted to know or have an idea what it could be. Thanks for all the info. I really appreciate it. I always post here when I have a problem due to the great info.
