1999 Pontiac Bonneville flashing lights but no engine startup! Sign In

I recently tried to start my 1999 Pontiac Bonneville after it had started to get cold with winter. I had just driven it 3 days prior and everything worked perfect. Now when I turn the ignition, the inside lights and the headlights flash very rapidly but the engine won't even turn. I checked the battery terminals (I've had corrosion problems there in the past) but it still won't start. Any advice?

Have the battery charged and tested.

Do check battery as H suggested. In that you had corrosion problems before take a real good look at those cable ends. Hard to see without removing the covers to see if they are really lots worse than you might think.

If battery is dirty especially a damp dirty but can test good still clean it up as the dirt if conductive raises hell by itself sometimes,
