1999 Nissan Altima GXE won't start (security light on)

1999 Nissan Altima GXE
When I try to start it up nothing happens. The battery seems to be fine. If I only turn the key to ACC then the radio and lights all work. When I try to start it up the whole car shuts down, no more radio or lights. The security light is on and beeps when the key is in the ignition. I just had my brakes replaced. It would seem that the security system is somehow tripped. Can I get around it without paying to have my system reset?

Seems like the theft control is enabled. Whether you own this from new or used, OE or aftermarket you should have the info to set and reset any alarms or it will be a pest,
