I've learned my lesson, but didn't want to send it to the shop again (the first time was a different scenario). So I looked online for tutorials on handbrake adjustment, and when I got down to looking at the handbrake cables, the rear left cable has a lot of slack whereas the rear right has just the right amount. What I'm wondering is if it is possible for me to make that cable taught again so the handbrake sufficiently pulls both cables taught at the same length. I suggest checking at the wheels making sure it hasn’t; cables do not stretch that much. Dan. Sure enough it was frayed and unattached. I looked at the other tire and it was all intact.
