Sign In 1999 Ford Expedition 2 wheel drive 4.6 liter engine 230,000 miles. gets rid of 2 quarts of motor oil a week, about 70 miles of in town driving. There are no oil spots on the garage floor, doesn't smoke when reving up and down the engine and I can't find any oily spots on the engine itself and no oil found in the radiator. Sign In A ford eng with a guarter of a million miles ? That kinda speaks for itself . Look carefully at back of car in ares of tailpipe for blackish sooty residue . Also you may want to pull plugs and give a looksee for sooty residue .
