Can someone please help me? I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer LS v6 vortex with 109999 miles on it. It has push button 4wd. The buttons aren't lighting up and my 4wd will not work at all. Not even a noise. I had checked all the fuses and tried reseting the computer. {who knows}. I pulled the switch out of the dash hoping it was just a wire pulled out or something stupid. The problem started when some work was done in the dash. Actually to be honest i had one of those stupid Breathalyzer things installed and then removed. Also, my interior lights will not turn on and my blinker clicker wont shut up. Once again all started when work was done in the dash. If anyone can please help me with my little situation that would be great. Maybe I can make it to work tonight in this snow storm. Also, please let me know if you need more info or anything. I will be more then willing to help you help me.

Who installed and removed the unit? Seems like if the problem started when it was removed, there are some wires that are not hooked up properly. Without seeing the vehicle and a wiring diagram, I am just shooting in the dark. That is why I gave the general answer. Sorry. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

thanks for the response. A local car dealership installed it and Circuit City took it out. The kid seemed to know what he was doing taking it out, although the dealership wouldn't let me watch them install it. Shop rules. Could it just be a loose wire? Cause I can take apart the dash and check. That wouldn't be much of a problem. How do i go about getting a wiring diagram? That may help me. Thanks again

Look in the middle of the diagram. You will see reference to the 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive switch. It does not say it is the switch, but that is what is is. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
