1998 PT Cruiser knocking sound

My 1998 Chrystler makes a loud knocking noise when I let off of the gas. The noise is coming from the front drivers side.

That would most likely be related to the C.V axle on that side. You'll have to inspect it and see if there is anything wrong with the axle or hub.
