1998 Honda Accord Driver Door will not unlock

Got a 98 Accord, driver door will not open, i can tell that it is not unlocked, but all functions seem to work fine. The locking knob will go up and down with the remote and the door switch, thing just will not unlock....getting old climbing over the passenger seat to drive...any ideas?

Start by putting the remote away . Then try manually unlocking from inside then by key on the outside.
There is likely a rod that has become disconnected or a clip broken which would be inside and tough to get door panel off to get at the problem. Check out any aftermarket items first as they seem to fail first.
It may be helpful to get a road service type biz to get you opened up if only one more time. It's a popular car and they make kits to unlock doors but the person needs to know how to use it without causing more damage. I'd bet Honda made it tough to get at and even the experienced may need some time to get it open, T

same thang happened to my 1998 hond civic they use a little plastic thing and when u unlock the door the rod pulls on it and is what happens is the plastic part brakes but you cant take the door panel off top fix it with out opening the door so i just dukes of hazzared it sorry it might of help you know whats going on

my honda accord's driver side door will not open.. i saw this post and it directly describes my problem please help.. I have had everyone looking at my car no one can figure this out.. someone said you can drill a certain spot but we cant figure ouut exactly where to drill...

Jesse,
You are hitting on threads from years ago - fine but leave them alone - you already have one going of your own.
You need to take the door panel off at some point to get at broken parts and YES it will no doubt damage the door panel. You can probably find door panel used if needed a lot cheaper than fixing drilled holes in the door!
Good grief - get a road call from a tech from a road service provider with tons of tools like AAA or whatever is popular in your area,
