Do you know what the issue is and what I need to do to fix it? Also, would it be difficult to install power door locks? I believe it just pulls free at bottom . there a screw at handle . spray all linkage. They make an aftermarket kit that has everthing including instructions ,check with a store that sells car accessories. on a difficulty scale of 1 - 10 oi would say a 3 LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH jnuts032 Novice Oct 12, 2009, 2:29 PM Post #3 of 5 (3643 views) Re: 1998 Chevy C1500 door lock Sign In Thanks, I will try that but its not that the door handle is not pulling...Its just that when I pull the interior door handle it feels like it is not grabbing on to something which opens the door. Sometimes if I pull the door handle, hold it and push on the door with my shoulder it will open. Other times it won't open at all and I will have to get out of the passenger side, or have some one let me out of the driver side from the exterior handle. It's pretty common for the arm to break off the handle and it will have to be replaced.
