I recently acquired a 1995 Chevy S-10 Blazer. When the weather gets warmer, I have a hard time starting the vehicle. It will take several tries before starting. Once started it will run fine. I am told (fom previous owner) that this happened all the time last summer. Was told that when the weather is warmer, the temp gauge will go up, anything over 110 and I will not be able to use the a/c and will have to run the heater for the temp gauge to go down. Was also told if I run the vehicle for long periods of time, once I kill the engine, it will have to sit for several hours before I can restart it again.

It recently got a tune up and it has been running fine until the last few days it hasn't wanted to start up right away. I live in Texas so it is warming up rather quickly. I am starting school on Monday and am worried about getting stranded away from home. Please help me if you can. Thanks

Temp gauge should stay right on the money once warmed up. Yes using A/C would add heat and using heater takes some away but that's an issue to be fixed. Could need a flush or perhaps a fan clutch which I think this uses. Perhaps needs a radiator.

As for the hard starts I'd start by checking fuel pressure. There's a sensor called CTS = coolant temp sensor that adds extra fuel if cooler or cold in gradients which may cover it when cold. In that it can die out I'm thinking fuel pressure first. Many are very fussy to have correct fuel pressure
