1994 Eagle Summit Stuttering Sign In

1994
Eagle
Summit
1.5 Engine size (I think)
207k miles
5 speed manual

My car has recently developed a stutter when I drive. While in neutral, the idle seems fine, it dips some from time to time though. But when I start to move the car noticeably starts to stutter a bit, it comes and goes some, but it does it on all gears, and is most noticeable when going up hills. I've already tried replacing the spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor/ignigtion button, and I've added Gum Out to my tank when I filled up last friday. But it's still giving me some problems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like you have at least one cylinder severely misfiring. The first thing your going to have to do is determine which cylinder is misfiring and then do a compression test. You mentioned ignition parts you replaced but I didn't see wires. That would be the first thing to look at.

Yes, wires were next on my list, but I wanted to get some opinion from people who know more than me about this kind of thing to. I appreciate it.

Replace the wires and if you still have a problem after that, then locate the cylinder and check the compression.
