Okay so I bought a 1993 honda civic Si 5 speed hatch about a month ago ran great at first love the car. Started having issues starting would occasionally crank but wouldn't catch, had to fiddle with it then it would. Then one day was pulling into work and it just shut off, not because I killed it. Now it won't start at all. Cranks doesn't catch at all. At one point we had spark. Up to this point we've replaced the dizzy lost spark, went back to the old one put in a new coil replaced ignition switch since it was a little toasty. Checked ECU no marks. Currently have no spark no fuel. Used a paper clip to jump the main relay and the fuel pump turns on. Definitely feel like I'm running out of options, would really like to have it running by winter.

Does the distributor rotor rotate when you crank the engine? Do you have a multimeter and know how to use it? Do you have a graphing meter or oscillioscope?

Rotor rotates. Yes i do. We used a test light to check the plug to the distributor no power to the 8 prong plug for it even when cranking, only the black and yellow for I believe power to the ignitor. No to your last but I may be able to get one, what would I need it for?

The black yellow wire should have 12 volts on it with the ignition switch in the on or start positions. Also take your 12 volt test light and connect it to battery positive and then touch the distributor housing (metal). It should stay lit even when your cranking the engine.

The scope or graphing meter would be helpful if you need to check for signals going into and out of the engine computer.

Okay so we put in a new ECU, and we have fuel now, but still no spark. I have a source for a parts car and we've tried 3 different distributors so we're pretty sure it has nothing to do with it. Next step?

Did you check to make sure that you have power and ground to the distributor?

When you stated you have fuel, do you mean injector pulse or fuel pump activity?
