I am having problems shifting my car out of the Park position. This only happens after I am driving for a while and then park the car. If i try to get right back in a move I cannot shift out of park. If the car is cold or has been sitting I have no problems, This seems to only happen when the car is hot. I checked the Tranny fluid because I thought it might be low but it was fine. I can bypass this by inserting my extra key in the slot next to the shifter but its becoming a pain. Does anyone know what this problem is and how to fix.

I'm not sure with Honda but the shift lock was controlled by the brake lights in some cars and if they don't work that could be it, T
