Hi, I don't know much about cars so, I will try my best to explain the problem. Live in Chicago, its been cold and I didn't drive my prizim for a few weeks. Tried to start it on Friday no luck. Everything was dead, the door light didn't come on, no engine start up lights etc...

So tried to get a jump start ...no luck. Took it to my local Firestone and they tested the battery and said it was dead. I bought new replacement battery from them (I didn't notice CA or CCA at the time because I figured their system would match it to my car). Take home the new battery and installed it. Initially, saw the door/engine lights on the dash come on but, the car wasn't starting and all I heard was a clicking sound when I turned the ignition.

So tried to jump the car with the new battery and it worked! Car started up like normal no problem. So I drive around for 30 minutes and then come home. I try to start the car again and nothing. Try it again and nothing same clicking sound. However, now the door light/dash lights will not come on. It almost seems like the battery is drained already.

While driving around, I didn't notice any check engine lights or any other alert lights on the dash.

So now I don't know what is going on? I don't think it is starter. I am not sure if it is the alternator (because I figured I would have seen some warning light while driving around).

Why is my new battery acting like my old one? I don't know if Firestone sold me the wrong battery and this new battery doesn't have enough amps to power the engine?

Thanks.
