1993 Ford Escort 1.9L with 117K miles.

I will give you as much information as I can think of here but if I leave anything out that you would need to know, please ask and I will do my best to find out.

I bought this car about 6 months ago from a private dealer who said everything was taken care of on the car and that it runs great. I test drove it and I noticed that the engine shook a bit when shifting into gear. I know now that it is because of a bad engine mount but at the time they told me it was because they had just replaced the transmission and that movement should stop after a little driving.(I didn't know much better)
After a little it began making a noise. The best way I can describe it is either a rattling or a noise like you are sticking a piece of plastic into a fan blade.
I took it to my girlfriends house and it started doing it very bad, then on the way back the water pump seized and the timing belt broke.
I ordered the parts and I replaced the
-Water pump
-timing belt
-one engine mount(wrong one though)
-air filter(the old one was covered in oil
-purator and
-pcv valve

I replaced the air filter and the pcv because occasionally when I put the car in park, it would begin to rev up pretty bad. It does not do that any more though.

But now, that noise it used to make, the rattling noise, is back and I really want to know what it is and if it is serious.
It generally happens at higher RPM's and at speeds above 40Mph or so.
If I have it in park and rev the engine a bit, it makes a similar noise as well.
The funny thing is, when I let the car warm up for 15 minutes or so, it usually runs ok as long as I am not to hard on the gas.
Lately though, it has been getting worse and I cant have this car break down again or I will have no way to school and work.
I tried to get a look at where the noise was coming from and the best I could find is, when looking at the engine from the front, it is coming from the left side by the water pump and belts, and more toward the bottom of the engine.
It also has a small oil leak that drips a few drops after I turn off the engine but the fluid levels are constantly checked and are all good.
The car does not run hot, in fact it really does not heat up that much at all, and the performance is basically normal.
The timing marks after the water pump job where aligned perfectly so I do not believe it is that either.

I am basically stumped and if anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,
Kory
