1992 Saab 900, broke down and started 30 mins later?

I drive a 1992 Saab 900. I am absolutely addicted to the vehicles and their personality.. however, I often run into a ton of bad luck with them. I was driving around, hanging out with a friend. The car had gone a good 60 miles roundtrip that day, without any incident. On the way back home, I was pulling onto a busy street from a stop sign, when the car inexplicably shut itself off. It would not start. Some nice young men helped me push it to the side of the road, and a policeman had stopped and set up a flare. He offered to call a tow, but I live 1.5m from where I had broken down, and I declined. I called my mother and informed her, and she showed up about 20 minutes later. I was explaining to her what had happened, and went to demonstrate how the car would not start.. but when I turned the key, it started nice and smooth, as if nothing at all had happened. I brought it home and parked it, moving it around from place to place in my driveway daily to keep it from sitting. Due to my awful luck with these cars, I am far too paranoid to drive it. I have been trying to reach my mechanic (he works on strictly older-model Saabs) but the mutual friend who had introduced us just passed away. I am thinking he has gone off somewhere to take his mind off of things. I know it is not my battery, as I have just had that replaced a month ago, and everything checked over for corrosion. I do not think it is my alternator either, as there was no light or radio dimming beforehand. Up until this incident, the car had run and started strong all day, and I went many places. Shopping, drive-thrus- stopping, starting, sitting.. It rained heavily that day, and there were many puddles. My mom had suggested that perhaps I had just hit a puddle and gotten the underbelly of my car wet, but I do not recall hitting any, and the closest one was at least a mile from where I broke down. Any idea what may be wrong? Either way, thanks a bunch for your help, and have a good one.
