1992 Honda Accord no power at all	Sign In

I was driving my 1992 Honda Accord when it died... lost all power. When I lifted the hood I noticed that the battery terminal was cracked (almost in half). After replacing the battery terminal there was absolutely no change, nothing has power .. no dash lights .. nothing. It acts like the battery isnt even hooked up. Is there a power relay that could have fried when the terminal broke? I have no idea where to start.

Is there anyone that can help?

Does your battery have 12V? was the terminal on the battery damaged at all?

yes it does have 12v, when I first popped the hood I was going to check the terminal connection because I couldnt get any power on my dash let alone start the car, and when I tried to adjust the terminal it broke in half.. so the terminal was damaged.

Use a multi-meter and trace your circuits start at the positive post work your way to junction box, checking main fuses in the junction box and make sure ground is secured properly. Make sure both of your terminal and posts are clean.

On those honda if i recall there is a 50 amp fuse in the fuse box near the battery that blows and kills everything..its a bigger fuse with i think a clear plastic top..good luck
