1992 Ford ranger.turns over but won't start

1992 Ford ranger.turns over but won't start Sign In

My son just changed his fuel pump fuel filter spark plug wires and distributer (points wire connect?) Serpentine belt plugs...truck ran for couple days but on freeway would dolittle Vcough but kept going.manual trans..low gears would want to die like it wasn't getting fuel but he checked when he replaced fuel pump fuel was flowing...now looks like the fuel distributor one isn't getting spark?? And he just replaced that and wires...so he's baffled. There is not a port to hook up this machine to run a diagnostic on his truck...it turns over but will not start.

There is a diagnostic connector under the hood but you need an EEC IV code reader to get codes out.
