1991 S10 Blazer 4.3 Wont idle

I have a 91 S10 Blazer that suddenly wont idle? It will run if you hold accerelarator down, but will not stay running? Happened suddenly, vehicle was being driven daily? Throttle? idle adjustment slipped? Not much of an auto mechanic but willing to try.

I'd start by checking for vacuum leaks and the integrity of the air intake parts all in order,

Also remove the EGR valve and see if it has any carbon stuck in it holding it open. If that's OK, try cleaning the throttle body and throttle plates. You may ultimately have a bad IAC (idle air control)

I had the same problem, with no codes. I pulled the fuel line off and it worked fine, but I did not check fuel pressure.
When I unplugged the temp sensor on the front of the engine, it ran at a crazy high idle.
Well, it turns out it was a 2 inch hose, inside the fuel tank was split. It went from the fuel pump to the housing. When the pump began to build up pressure, the line opened up and shot fuel BACK into the tank.
That caused the throttle body to starve for fuel, thus running like crap, then running great, then running like crap again.
It was a 1 dollar fix, but i had to drop the tank to access the pump.
