1991 Geo Prizm Overheating

I have a 1991 Geo Prizm with about 170000 miles on it.
After driving it for about 2 hours straight it appears to start overheating. Whenever I stop the car I hear a gurgling/liquid sound from under the hood after the car is stopped and turned off, I haven't looked yet when the car is running and hot. This seems to be coming from the coolant reservoir. I also noticed the that reservoir container is covered and dripping in coolant, along with the area right underneath it. It seems to be too hot to check the fluids at that time but when I check them later, next day or so, there is no fluids left in either the radiator and reservoir. Before driving I made sure that all the fluid levels were at the recommended levels and used an already mixed coolant/water mixture. When adding fluids I noticed no immediate leaking. I only noticed some dripping after the car had been running from a small, about 1 inch, 90 degree elbow hose, pointing downward. This hose isnt attached to anything except the reservoir cap and looks likes its supposed to be some sort of hose to allow for overflow or something similar, but that is just a guess by me. It was just a slow drip with the car off, but still hot after driving for 2 hours. It may be coming out more when the car is running and this is where all the coolant is going.
So quick summary. Car really started to overheat on the temp gauge, when shut off car heard gurgling sounds from coolant reservoir. Coolant reservoir and nearby areas dripping in coolant. When these fluids are checked later there is no fluids in either of them and no immediate leaks when more is added.
Any ideas as to what I can do?

MushMush; This could be as simple as a weak radiator cap, allowing coolant to bypass it, going into the reservoir, overflowing, ect., ect,...
On the other hand, something may be causing the engine to over heat, pressure building to the point that the cap can't handle it. Cooling fan inoperative, thermostat, head gasket, ect. Need to get the cooling system diagnosed. If the head gasket hasn't blown yet, it will if the engine gets hot enough.
