I'm having probloms with my 1990 Chevy Silverado electrical system. The fuel pump fuse was blowing and I had a new fuel pump installed (the guy thought the fuel pump was shortening everything out). However, I'm still having the same electrical issues after the pump was replaced. Everything electronic will just die and the truck will stall anytime I turn the radio on, headlights, or anything electronical. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have any suggestions where I may look to fix this problem? Thanks.

Pull the fuses for everything not needed to run the truck. Start the truck and replace the fuses one by one. When it kills, write down which one it is and start looking for shorts. But honestly I've never seen a fuse protected circuit for an accessory that could kill a motor. There is more to this problem for sure. What end of the country is this truck? If rustbelt you might be opening Pandora's box. I live in WI so I see a lot of that.
