1987 celeberty Sign In

Pirate I have a 1987 celeberty it is 2.8 multi port it runs 20 mins and goes dead it looses injector pulse

Is it also losing spark?

Pirate No we have good spark it will run on popane for ever . We changed the coil pack and module ,the crank sensor,the computer ,the oil sending unit it dies about 210 degrees

Still having spark would eliminate a lot of possibilities like the coils, ignition module and crank sensor. Have you determined that it's the pulse (ground) side and not the power side that is dropping out? Does the fuel pump drop out at the same time? Does it run good right up until it dies?

yes it runs good up until it dies and i am checking it at the injecter with a noid light but i still have 38 psi fuel preasure when it dies

when it dies we still have 13.8 on pink with black at the injecters

Everything here is pointing to the ECM shutting down. I know you said you changed it already but it could be something outside that is triggering it. I would start out by waiting until the next time it quits and immediately measure the resistance of all the injectors looking for one that my be shorted. The ECM has reset-able Quad drivers that may be tripping from overload and you just need to find what's overloading them.

what should the resistance be for each injecter?

That will vary with temp. Just compare them to each other and look for one way out of mainstream. Temperature is important though. Most of these issues will only show up under heat.

will 1 injecter kill both banks of injecters if it fires 3 at a time ? I have blue feeding 1 side an dgreen feeding the other side.

No, not usually. They would be independent quad drivers in the ECM.

it never misses it just dies what other problem could cause this problem?
