So, I live on a farm and work on older engines and a lot of bigger diesels. I'm starting a new project tomorrow- a 1987 camaro. It hasn't been started in at least 4 or 5 years. I haven't dealt with anything this complex or new, so could anyone give me some answers? Like what steps should I take to get it started, etc.

Your biggest problem is probably going to be the fuel and fuel pump. The recommended thing to do is remove the fuel tank, clean it out and replace the fuel pump and fuel but that's not a simple thing to do on a Camaro.
