I have an 06 Mazda 3 (2.0 Engine Automatic Transmission) with about 95k miles. Some time ago I noticed a clicking sound (kind of like a card in bike spokes kind of noise) while I'm coasting. The sound seems to be relative to speed and it is there when in gear and when in neutral but it goes away completely the second I apply the least bit of pressure to my accelerator. The car drives fine, shifts smoothly and there is no shaking or vibrating or anything it's just this odd sound.

I'm wondering if anyone here might know what this could be or if anyone else has had a similar problem. Any help or suggestions you could offer would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Update: Shortly after posting this I took it down the road to the Jiffy Lube where I go to to have my oil changes done and asked them if they wouldn't mind looking underneath it to see if anything was rubbing and as best as they could see there is nothing loose underneath the car that is rubbing.

does the noise change or favor one side over the other when you turn?
