Anyone got the official drive cycle for my daughters car? Did some major work recently, followed by all reasonable, routine maintenance duties. Car runs absolutely NEW.
Went in to Massachusetts Emission Test & Inspection and system says "not ready". O2 & cat.
Inspector says "drive it for a week". However, not everyone drives the same. My daughter's work commute is 5 miles town, 20 miles highway....one way. Then whatever she does in her own time.
Can a code reader tell me when it is ready? I have access to a Foxwell NT301.
Lou.

0/2 and catalyst cycle

B. CATALYST/O2 MONITOR
With NGC, Catalyst and O2 Monitor information are acquired and processed at the same time. Most vehicles will need to be driven at highway speed (<50 mph) for a few minutes. If the vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission, using 4th gear may assist in meeting the monitor running criteria. For the monitor run conditions, select the BANK 1 CAT MON PRE-TEST in the DRB III(R), OBD II Monitors Menu.

Just got the Foxwell code reader. This thing appears to be awesome. It has a function identical to the inspection station system; I/M Readiness Status Data.
No guessing now. The car will PASS inspection and I will KNOW that it will.
I am buying one of these tools.....a must have.
Thanks again Hammer. You can mark this as successful.
