Hi all very new here and new to cars. I was driving on some bad roads last night and basically the bottom side of the front of the car slammed into some uneven road and immediately the car stopped accelerating properly. From that point to the drive home the car was extremely loud when i put my foot on the accelerator (almost sounded like a big chopper motorcycle) and the RPM rarely read above 2.5 though it still seemed to be changing gears. I haven't had a chance to go above 40mph but it seems like it's having trouble picking up speed in general. I haven't inspected or done anything with the car since. Starting and stopping are fine. Any ideas as to what might be up and suggestions on what to do next? Thanks.

You need to first, make sure nothing is leaking and then you need to get it to a shop for inspection. It sounds like, at the very least, you have damaged the exhaust system. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
