03 TAURUS BUBBLING OUT POWER STEERING FLUID

An elderly lady around the corner has a well used 03 ford taurus. she told me her power steering fluid has been leaking. i looked at it and pump was whinning like crazy and bubbling out fluid from the weep hole in resorvoir lid. i replaced the pump and filled it up. i started the car and pump was quite and ps worked. then i had to add some fluid due to low level. then the pump started whinning again and ps did not work so well and fluid bubbling up from the pump. can someone please help. It's pulling in air from somewhere. I have seen Tauruses do that from a leak in the line between the reservoir and the pump.
